Prayer & Worship

At The Well we desire for people to encounter Jesus through a powerful prayer life.  The Bible tells us that the house of God should be a place of prayer for all nations.

For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations. – Isaiah 56:7 NKJV

That is our goal for The Well – that the nations are welcome and feel comfortable to come and pray to The Lord with us.  We dedicate the first Wednesday of each month to a corporate prayer night, where we typically pray for Israel, our Poway community and our community at The Well.

At The Well, we desire for people to encounter Jesus through a powerful worship experience.  Worship, in the correct biblical context, literally means to bow down to The Lord.  It is a display of humility – that The Lord is God and the author of our very existence – and that we owe Him everything.

The Lord is actually looking around the earth, seeking out those who are true worshippers – that worship Him in spirit and truth.

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. – Jhn 4:23 NKJV

One of the most important ways we do worship is through praise.  We are instructed to bring a sacrifice of praise into the House of The Lord.

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. – Heb 13:15 NKJV

On the last Friday of each month, we have a unique “Worship With The Word” prayer and worship evening at The Well.  It is a time where we gather corporately, but as individuals it is a time of intimacy between you and The Lord.  We sing songs of praise, meditate on the scriptures, and also sing spontaneous prayers to The Lord.

Our long term vision is to develop “The Well Prayer House” where 24 hours a day, 7 days a week we are offering up the incense of prayer and worship to The Lord.
